Yanis Varoufakis leaves his post as finance minister in Greece, claiming that he is not wanted in the negotiations, and that his absence will make it easier for the PM to reach an agreement.
I find this curious. If his goal was to allow the debt talks to proceed more smoothly for Tsipras, why wait until after the referendum has been called and voted on? Why not remove himself before making such publicly antagonistic comments against the troika? Anyone knowledgeable of this issue have any insights into this? I'm genuinely stumped here.
