I've watched Sense8 and I really liked it as well. I was slightly disappointed it was more slice of life and less sci fi, but I got over it quickly. I will admit to skipping over much of the Indian woman's story, but other than that I was impressed with how they handled 8 different stories. Plus it was cool to see such a diversity of characters and stories.
I agree with you on it being more of a slice of life type show with light SciFi. I got over it quickly too and grew to actually really appreciate the show on a few different levels. I've heard other people mention similar thoughts about the Indian woman (Kala). What was it in particular that caused you to skip over her story?
I agree, Kala's Story was - in my opinion - the weakest of the eight. Compared to the hardships the other had to endure, going to prison for the family, fighting the family, living between gangs and warlords, losing your husband and child, etc, her conflict, 'I have to marry that wonderful, attentive, rich guy although I really don't love him', seems really boring and flat. Additionally, everbody asked her, if she really wants to marry him, giving her plenty of oppurtunity to just say no; I could've understand, if she was forced to marry him or felt forced by religion / family / culture - but like this? Really no conflict...
