I love Flogging Molly. Really great, passionately emotional music. I can't decide whether I want to sing, drown myself in a bucket of stout, or both. Somewhat hard folksy Irish stuff. Here are a few of my other favorites from them.
Flogging Molly reminds me of a particular time in my life a few years after high school. I didn't know where I was going in life, still kind of don't some of the time, but I am more comfortable in that now. I have learned, or at least think I have learned something along the way and perhaps self deceit is enough. The album was Whiskey on a Sunday and boy it didn't do much to chase the blues away. I find myself looking back at the memory of those days with embarrassment at my penchant for self destruction and self loathing, but I also have a certain nostalgia for the freedom I felt that came from feeling I had so little to lose. A fitting soundtrack.
Have to agree, one of my favorite groups to listen to when I need to blow off steam and get pumped up at the same time. "You Won't Make a Fool Out of Me" is probably one of my favorites to cycle into rotation every now and then. Only came across them a few months back, but they're just so much fun to listen to.
