Lemmings was such an amazing game. It's one of those few games I'm still waiting for someone like GOG to pick up. If I could have a computer that had that, the original X-Com, MOO II, and TIE Fighter, I'd be so happy.
I have dosbox on my Mac and can play lemmings. They're like literally 1 pixel tall and sometimes it starts up in turbo mode but yeah. Change the resolution and with a little luck, it's like I'm 5 years old, sitting in my dad's big leather chair with my brother again. Our favorite was this game called Keen. I controlled the pogo stick and he controlled the gun and we took turns with the arrow keys depending on the level. It was more conducive to playing together than Lemmings. Whenever we would fight while playing Lemmings, I remember the nuke button. Such a satisfying way to kill everything and wash all the hard work down the drain. I've had good luck with Boxer too. XCom is on their homepage...right next to keen.
Oh man. I've played Cosmo's Cosmic Adventures too! That game always made me too happy. It just like...colorful candies...everywhere! I downloaded all these in college. I have no idea where or how (probably TPB, TBH). I spent way too much time replaying Doom and Keen and all of the amazingness.
