Some Liverpool fans thought we should set our sights on a better quality keeper, but I think he's a solid backup for Migs. Or could end up competing for the starting spot. Migs played well enough last season that I'm comfortable having him between the posts. Bogdan as backup is a much better prospect than Jones was, and I doubt Migs has an injury-plagued season like Sturridge did. And Bogdan may prove better than many think. Plus, this saves some money that can be put toward a first choice striker, which is need #1.
Migs was poor for the first few months, but after Rodgers benched him for a few games he came back a new player and was pretty great. He was competing for the Golden Glove and making several important saves. Think Bogdan will just be a more solid backup than Jones though he could end up competing for the start.
