If not top 3, will always be among my top 10:

1. Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd 2. Endtroducing - DJ Shadow 3. Getz/Gilberto

The 1st Getz and Gilberto is a premium pick, congratulations on your excellent taste.

I love DSotM, but I always feel like Money breaks the groove. It's not a bad song at all. It's just so jarring when it comes.

I couldn't agree more. It also seems off theme imo or at least too straight forward.

Too straight forward?!?! Its the only top ten hit of all time written in 7/4! (At least, as far as I know its the only odd meter song to break the top ten--waltzes excepted, because 3 doesn't count.)

I did not realize that "Money" was the only "top ten hit" to be in 7/4. Thanks for that kernel of music trivia.

I just fact-checked myself. It actually only reached 13. But still, pretty good for a song you can't dance to without breaking your ankles.

I should have clarified, I meant lyrically.

All three are favorites of mine too. Getz/Gilberto is one of those albums that is always appropriate. If you like music, you'll like it.

Yea, Getz/Gilberto is about as timeless as it gets.

Great picks! Love them all. My wife introduced me to DJ Shadow and the Getz/Gilberto was the first Vinyl we ever bought together.
