I don't like posting things other people give me, but this is the only song I've listened to since Ben posted it in the IRC.
I grew up listening to Stan Rogers. a truly unique voice in Canadian folk music. He holds a very, very special place in my heart. Thank you for sharing him. his most famous song (my favourite version): The last line of the first chorus - "And if we want to eat fish, then we'll open a can; and catch tiny fish for Japan" A beautiful tune about "The Troubles"
Had a dance party with my wife and kids tonight to this album: And this one: Admittedly an odd combo, but we had a blast.
Been listening to a band called Slow Season that has one album out. Just 70's stoner rock. Great driving album.
Going to see them later this month. They're doing the bar circuit where you make a stage by clearing some of the tables out of the way when there isn't a band playing. Should be alright.
Saw them for the first time last weekend. They've got great chemistry and she was gorgeous!
There is something about her voice that reminds me of early Madonna.
It's been raining a lot where i live, which always makes me want to listen to jazz.
