Oregon wins, totally wins. 19 official state symbols to my measly 4. Thanks Blob.

Question: Of all your state symbols, what surprised you the most?

Trust me, Texas wins. Which kinda fits.

I gave up learning these as a kid, before I knew what "arbitrary" or "bullshit" even meant.

It's hard to say which of those is most impressive. Perhaps the official state molecule deserves some kind of special mention.

For me it's the cooking implement that pushes it into obsessive territory.

    State Domino Game

Does the state legislature have a lot of slow days?

The fact that there is a state animal, on top of bird, fish, insect, crustacean, and insect. Why form a separate category for "animal?"

That and it's odd that there's a state beverage, and that it's milk.

Why form a separate category for "animal?"

Because an OSU grad had to try to get a beaver on the list? That is my guess anyway.
