Be it a blog devoted to food, your favorite site/e-mail newsletter/physical book for recipes, sites and books with different cooking techniques, items in your kitchen that you love to use, or anything else. I want to know where you all come up with the stuff you cook, and what you favorite tips, tricks, and advice is for that. After seeing all these #grubski posts there is a lot of proof to show that there is not a shortage of great cooks here.
For me I do like watching YouTube videos of people like Jacques Pepin, Julia Child, or Gordon Ramsey to get ideas for better preparation techniques. However, I don't have much in the way of recipes outside of using an Epicurious cookbook I have, an assorted collection of family recipes, and using places such as allrecipes. The latter is great for ideas of things to make, but I don't feel like there are many truly great dishes on there. As for everything else, I don't have many special tools but I would love a pizza stone and garlic press among other things.
How about all of you?
Meat not my first choices so. Veggies for me, most of time I cook veggies from apknite Vegan recipe. But the information is helpful, thanks.
The veggies app from apknite seems good tho. My friend also uses that. Maybe I will try so.
As one who abstains from meat, I really enjoy the recipes I find at Oh My Veggies. I've never been disappointed following any of the recipes.
I don't have any, I probably should. I tend to have an idea of what I want to cook and then just do a general search. I look at the top results and pick a favorite and make it, usually with my own spin. However, it would probably be smart for me to pick a source and work through some of their suggestions. I was looking through one of my wife's Simple Living magazines and it had some kick ass recipes in it. I ripped a few from the pages and look forward to making them when I get back. Maybe I'll start looking though that mag more often.
