What beautiful insects. I wish that this video had gone in to their flight patterns but it was cool to see their transformation.

Humans take 1 year to learn how to walk.
But let the dragonfly flex its muscles just for a few seconds, and it's ready to soar.

Pretty amazing, isn't it! I didn't realize that they lived such active aquatic lives prior to their metamorphosis. It sounds as if they are hunting in the water for food.

Sweet video! It looks like mk may have been right about the hydraulic action - though dragonflies only have to do it once.

though dragonflies only have to do it once. -That was a cool moment in the video, when it unsheathed it's wings.
