am_Unition, talking about music with you made me pick up my guitar and get his down (ish). I don't think it sounds that bad for what it is, and I love the original version which can be found here.
I haven't been doing nearly enough with music lately.
The strummed-acoustic-guitar-with-vocals gig just ain't my thing, but you're doin' it right. From a production standpoint, you should either get two mic's (one for vocals, one for the guitar), or record just guitar during one take, then record another take with just vocals. Then EQ the two separate tracks, maybe throw on some light compression, and pan one just a little left, and the other just a little right. Keep messing around with music. I don't care if it's guitar, piano, synth theory, or a damn cowbell, just keep at it. Personally, I hate everything that I've ever made, but the general trend is that I hate more recent productions slightly less than my older material.
