It's an interesting dilemma. People obviously enjoy the features smart TVs bring to the living room. However when all the technology comes wrapped up in the familiar old shape of a TV, one is perhaps even less likely to consider implications such as this. The time I initially sensed a tinge of 'anxiety' is when the TV in our house first crashed. 'Imagine that,' I thought; It took me a second to compute. I realised it was becoming more complex than I had cared to consider. I am unaware whether our TV has voice recognition software. I shall check and if it does I shall turn it off, if I can. I'm still not sold on the idea and have no qualms using a controller. I don't use it that much anyway.
