The series, also titled "12 Monkeys" (premieres at 9 p.m. Jan. 16 on Syfy) is a reimagining of the film, and the pilot kicks it off with a great mix of similarities from the movie and differences that work in the adaptation's favor.

The pilot was filmed in the Lobby of my building in Detroit. It was pretty cool, because they left tons of Christmas decorations up, when they were done filming. The crew was fun to drink with.

Awesome thank you for the invitation. I no longer live in Michigan, but the software is good enough, I feel like I actually might want to make a trip of it. If the site can handle it, this place is about to blow up.

I have never watched it. I recognize locations from all over in the pilot. Museum, University, Library, desolate fields, and of course the bar she waits at for him. They made it look pretty cheery, it was normally more gothic, and there have been plenty of raves there.
