I note that none of his examples of religious persecution are laws, but rather public pressure forcing resignation. When there's a public outcry against a leader of an organisation, for any reason, the board is going to find a way to get rid of them, regardless what laws you enact.
I don't understand how anybody's religious rights are being infringed upon. The public backlash isn't discrimination against anyone's religious belief, it's public outrage at attempted discrimination against those of a particular sexual persuasion. Religious liberty doesn't involve trying to enact legislation that bans gay marriage with protections against public outrage, and public outrage at the attempts is in no way religious discrimination. These LDS leaders are, to me, disgusting people. These quotes from them are pure doublespeak.
