If I were going to use this tag: This is the first song I ever remember hearing, in that way where you hear the music and you connect and it plays the beat in your chest and it is good. it is the first song I ever cared about I guess. My dad had pulled out his sound system and his records and was playing it.
1. PLEASE use the tag! I love hearing about the music people grew up with mostly the music as a side object as to what they remember when they hear that music. 2. I love that you connected so much with Simon and Garfunkel, I did not know about them until after High School I think (Maybe I had heard Paul Simon single though) . When I did I really felt a great connection to the music too. Do you remember what the situation was when you heard the song? Were you a teen or a kid? btw: I just used #mydadsrecordcollection instead of #mymomsrecordcollection because my mom's record collection consisted solely of Barry Manilow and Rubber Soul (I dont see anything wrong with that, but it's not much to work off of :D)
