So last night I caught Astronautalis' first set since he finished off his new album. He played two-thirds of it, probably. I got home at 6am and slept for two hours at work today, but it was worth it. I know there are some Astro fans on here, can't remember who -- this new shit is revolutionary. It's not exactly like anything he's ever done. He said he's been listening to a lot of the southern rap legends and a lot of the deep south bluesmen. It's gonna be a really sad album, I think, but there's a lot of groove to it. I'm so excited. Here's Measure the Globe from a while back, performed at a barbershop in LA with Ceschi on guitar. I defy you to listen to that track and not come to the conclusion that Astro is an important musician. I've never heard anyone that sounded like him. PS: any Astro or Doomtree fans will be massively excited to know that I cornered Astro after the show to get details on Four Fists' album that we've been awaiting for three years now. He said now that he's recorded his album, and POS is nearly finished with his, Four Fists is their priority and it's happening next. Maybe by the end of the year?

Bad Company - Burnin' Sky Always reminds me of my first trip.
They're to release a new record very soon.
If I Gave You My Love. From a great album that I missed last year. From the fellas out at Stones Throw.
