A 17 year old girl has a right to choose if she wants to have an abortion, with or without her parent's approval. Yet this girl doesn't have the right to decide if she wants to be operated on and injected with toxic chemicals to prolong her life a few years to suffer with an incurable condition? At what point did the term pro-choice come to mean, "you can only choose the options that we, the enlightened, think you should make?"
I normally won't share a fox news story… just on principle. BUT - I think there's something here. No, I don't think the state should intervene. While I respect her rights and her mother's rights, I disagree with them and think they should fight cancer wherever and whenever it is possible.
