EVERY DAY I will post a theme throughout December and it's my hope that we can all participate. Do not feel intimidated if you're not a pro or if you simply have a phone to take pictures with. I'm in the same boat.

This is really beautiful but strangely eerie. The really subtle colors in the trees as well as the contrast between the sharp, in-focus points, the softer, foggy points, and the out of focus points kind of mess with your eyes as you look around the photo.
No worries, now that you are married, you will find that you are late for most things :) Congrats, you guys look great and those trees are amazing. Thanks for sharing this.Late to the game, but you'll forgive me, I hope

I love snow. Well...I love snow in photos. Not so much in real life...
here's a dead one! Found right on the water in North Fork, NY. Here it is sans-editing, all on l'iPhone. And put me on that shout-out list already; for shame!

Beauty and the beast: (The wading tree, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, some time in 2002) (last year's living "christmas tree" after a year on the deck and some pruning - we may use it anyway as a Charlie Brown homage to our last Christmas in LA)
That shot of "the Wading Tree" is beautiful. Here's a shot of our first tree in the new house. It's up on the table to "baby proof" it. The little guy is cursing all over the place these days. I'm not going to edit this, but "cursing" was supposed to be cruising.
