I'm a non smoker, but being surrounded by either smokers or vapers I have to say that I'd pick the ones that don't smell and aren't killing my lungs with their breath. However, there is still a massive debate and this writer Katie Richardson highlights with passion how many people still just jump on the band wagon without considering the
I don't smoke, but occasionally when I'm out having a few drinks with a smoker, I'll have one. I have tried insomniasexx's ecigs in the past and they are much preferable to cigarettes. I get the same buzz, but I don't stink and the next morning, my lungs don't feel like hell. I never considered that you can dial up or down the amount of nicotine in your product used. -Interesting point.Well, yes, I am both those things. But I don’t stink of smoke or heartily cough my guts up in the morning anymore so I’m generally nicer to be around. But more importantly, I am able to choose the percentage of nicotine I inhale through the brand I buy, weaning myself off gradually by reducing the level in the products.
After a weekend in Vegas, I was reminded of a smell that I had totally forgotten about: The wave of nastiness that hits you when you get in the shower after a night at the bar, the stale smoke steaming out of your hair and skin. I hadn't smelled that in years, due to the welcome proliferation of smoking bans. Definitely brought back some memories, as only smells can.
I used to play shows at a place called the Elbow Room in Ypsilanti. It was my favorite stage to play on for a number of reasons, but damn if it wasn't the smokiest place on earth. There were times that I couldn't get a sound out of my throat because of it. It was actually the second smokiest place. The first smokiest is the "smoking car" on an Amtrack train. Damn dude, that shit is disgusting.
I agree 100%. I assume studies are being done but they simply havent been around long enough to have the same amount of type of data that cigarettes have.
I vape after quitting real cigarettes about 9 months ago. I occasionally still smoke real ones - if I drink I usually buy a pack and smoke whatever is left over over the course of the week. I'm not a diehard vapor, cloudchaser, blah blah blah. I use it because I assume / hope that they are better than real cigarettes but I'm thoroughly annoyed with people who are like, "Vaping is healthy - vape all day!" I would be very surprised if there aren't some problems with the ecig in terms of health. I think people are pretending they don't exist but for anyone that is looking forward to vaping for the rest of their life is going to be disappointed in a couple years when some real data shows up.
