Here's a link to the product page. I don't understand why anyone would want to buy this, especially after watching the horrible promo video. Why did Amazon think it was a good idea to take the worst part of the Xbox One (always on voice control) and make it into a proprietary device?
So after watching the video... is it just a robot that Googles stuff for you? Why would anybody think this was worth marketing? Also, the part where the guy is like, "you don't have to shout... this robot can hear you anywhere in the room" is quite frankly terrifying. I'm assuming it comes with a user agreement akin to the one in the "smart TV" post from the other day. Who in their right mind is going to buy this?
It can do about the same things Siri and Google Now can do for you. Which are two technologies most people already have in their pockets. They say that more features are coming soon, but I doubt they'll make it worth buying because if those features were good enough they'd be in the launch product. There's no doubt this will join the Fire phone as a flopped technology. So after watching the video... is it just a robot that Googles stuff for you?
