Do you have a topic? Let's prepare. Not that topics work too well on IRC.
The value of consistency within a personal ethic was the primary thing. I would rather live a life with as few contradicting beliefs as possible, but I want to hear everyone else's thoughts on the issue. For example, I don't want to support exploitative labor practices, but then I would never be able to own practically any electronic device. Or a positive example, I base most of my life off of logic and rationality, which breaks down under close scrutiny, making it fundamentally illogical. Induction is essentially the basis of modern logical/scientific thought, and it's broken.
I think topics work if you use them as bouncing off points for the rest of the conversation, instead of trying to shoe-horn them in unnecessarily.
