Acclaimed evolutionary psychologist Paul Bloom reveals how certain universal aspects of the human mind explain our curious desires, tastes and pleasures.
His story about the forger and the drop in value of a forgery reminded me of F for Fake (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072962/), Welles' last movie. It's entirely about this. The forgery thing, I mean. It's also an excellent movie. You guys should watch it.

Capgras syndrome -cool stuff, I've never heard of it. That story about the Vermeer and the Nazi is fantastic.
I had forgotten about the shoes that were thrown at Bush. That would be an interesting historical piece to own. Curious, what (if any) is the item that you find irreplaceable? What do you grab if the house is on fire?

I really don't think that the shoes pictured were the ones thrown at Bush. I remember watching that video a few times and they seemed more like slippers than boots. Maybe he used a stock photo for his presentation...I wonder who would want to own those shoes. I would go see them, but to own them would be unusual.
I replied a little late, but the wedding album is my pick. I like the spinoff hub topic!
