What an awful story, all the more so because it's true. Nothing does change, and not a lot of people will read this article or even care. Even if they did care, what's their recourse for effecting change? History repeats itself in this regard because most of our society is too busy watching reality television. The system works just fine, that is until it doesn't for you.
More specifically, the system they told you about isn't the system that is. It takes a special kind of chucklehead to hang out with neo-nazis and take a hacksaw to a shotgun. However, there are a lot of special chuckleheads in the world.
