This is one of those opportunities when you get to plainly see whether or not your local politician is bought or not.
My guess is that Rick Snyder will veto this legislation, as he is non-protectionist in general. However, it is election time, and the election is going to be a close one. If there's any place where the car makers are going to wrongly influence a politician, it's here in Michigan.
I already sent my message.
I am leaning towards his opponent, Mark Schauer, and am watching to see if he states his position. If he would sign the bill, he's not getting my vote.
In essence, the turd sailed through the kitchen and into the soup, largely because chefs may not have known what was in it.
