I just found a whole site dedicated to fucking around with Google Maps API: http://snazzymaps.com/ The one you posted was made for a new service - https://www.mapbox.com/ - which looks cool, albeit pricey.
I recall having seen this before, but it was around a year ago. Have you found Mapbox's editor already? You can even import kml's, csv's and geojson's and save the map output for embedding. Edit: looking around more it seems like Mapbox is a sort-of alternative to GIS. It makes handling Openstreetmaps data and adding some of your own data relatively easy. Interesting. Edit 2: Okay this is pretty cool and definitely a skill I want to develop / learn. Works pretty good with ArcGIS as well. Will look into this more. Thanks for pointing it out, kb and insomniasexx :) P.S. any interest in a Hubski mapbox skin?
We actually talked about doing something with Hubski maps a few weeks ago. It was just the little seed of an idea that basically involved geotagging - where you could add posts to a map and when you clicked on "NYC" you could see related posts - whether they be link posts about NYC (https://hubski.com/pub?id=172871) or people posting stickers in NYC (https://hubski.com/pub?id=23054) It could be a really interesting way to explore content.
Agreed. Like I said - not exactly thought out or anything yet. It would be super cool. Getting from point A -> B is tough though.
