Thoughts?
Pretty straight forward stuff.
Here's something nitpicky: maybe it's just the speakers I'm listening to this on or the freq response of the room, but there's a lot of like 800hz-1000k peaking out in the organ sound (although the sound itself is beautiful). Might be worth pulling down a little. Also, the vox could come up a little bit? Other than that, beautiful song. I feel like T-Dog could do magic with low end on this song. I'd also be happy to throw my name into the hat if you were willing to share, but... you know how I am with turnaround. Anyways, love it.
Both of you guys can basically add on to anything I ever make. I really enjoy both of you as musicians and mean that sincerely. T-Dog is going to get some bass thrown down on top of this one: and I can't wait to hear it. ghostoffuffle, if you hear anything in this one feel free to add to it too. I'm not sure why, but I really like this tune a lot. Most of my stuff I get sick of but this one has really stuck with me.
Hope you two had a good weekend.
I've been working on this one for a while now. I wasn't able to get what I wanted in the first couple takes but I will get there soon! I'm also having weird issues with protools on my new pc. There was that inability to import mp3 files that I told you about, but also the wav that I imported is clipping a ton despite the compression it looks like you put on it. I have to do some experimenting to see what the problem is.
Alright, good luck with that, I'm excited to hear what you come up with and I'm sure it will kick ass. I've not experienced that problem with the "popping" but kleinbl00 is literally on the protools squad that tests new versions etc. KB, any advice for T-Dog? TIA.
1:13. Is that dissonance intentional? I don't think the guitar should pick up til the end, maybe.
I think drums, or another instrument, ya know?
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate you checking it out.1:13. Is that dissonance intentional?
-Not likely. I tend to have about 1-2 hours at a time to make something and therefore, I irrationally attempt to write, record and mix it all in that time frame. The results tend to often be poorly mixed, not well written songs but once in a while it works out. Not sure this one did or not. I don't think the guitar should pick up til the end, maybe. I agree about it picking up more towards the end. -I intentionally left space for electric guitar/drums/bass and other synth etc to be able to pick the song up and take it somewhere. Right now, it's pretty sparse as far as my stuff goes.
