People started calling my dad about wasp nests. He would trim the tree branch at free end of the nest, and then position someone under the nest with a big trash bag with bug spray in it. He would then snip the branch that led to the tree, sending the nest into the bag as gently as possible. After a week or so we would unveil the nest. For many years we had a wasp nest hanging in the family room, they are a pretty cool conversation piece. Dad had a dead wasp glued to the outside of the nest. He would wait till someone got up close to check it out and exclaim in a loud voice "There's one right there" excitedly gesturing. It would freak people out. The other nest were given away to other strange folks that wanted a wasp nest as decor. Thanks for the video, I haven't thought about the bee keeping years in a long time.
