In the world of superlative virality, honest products will eventually prevail. It is correct for moths to circle the light because it’s a natural instinct. But what they don’t know is that they are eventually killing themselves.

This sort of relies on the premise that public attention and desire is a zero-sum game; I'm not sure I agree with that. It also presumes that the representation of reality within viral content is uni-directional--trending toward "hyper-skewing." Trends can also be a pendulum, constantly moving in different directions in response to (and rejection of) the previous one.
