There are two, equally stupid sides to this Side a: We should get rid of medicare, charities can handle it and everything will go fine Side b: We should all become communist and share everything. Everyone DESERVES their own life, house, wealth, etc. Capitalism is the best system we have for promoting wealth. However, it is not the best system for creating security and ensuring that all people inside capitalism are free enough to make capitalism function to serve the people, rather than the companies that should serve the people. Personally, I'm a fan of a basic-income type system, with medicare, etc, all replaced with a yearly 10k dollar check.
