Rome - One Fire. I'm a little uneasy about the new album, because he's an artist working in the genre founded by Death in June and with that precedent he might be being a little too subtle.
Just bought Mark Guiliana's Beat Music. Such a good EP. And I've really been digging Seun Kuti (youngest son of Fela Kuti, inventor and popularizer of afrobeat) lately - his music is awesome, and I admire his political activism. E: This morning I found Hjálmar - an Icelandic reggae band. So that's pretty sweet too.
TIM FOLLIN MOTHA'FUCKA. JOE HISASHI MOTHA'FUCKA. I have an abashed fondness for RWBY because I grew up with Monty Oum's animations in the dawn of YouTube. And that Red v. Blue episode. It was awesome. Seriously that RvB episode was awesome. check it out if you've got the time:
I've been listening to a lot of the Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade. They have some really great stuff. Here's my favorite album of theirs, all on youtube.
This song came on at work (not this version). I forgot how dark it is. I chose this version because it's situationally poignant - Cash's wife was had likely died from complications of Heart Valve Replacement Surgery by the time he recorded this final version, and it was released after he died four months after her.
