What do the thoughtful waste their time with?
I'm not very happy with the front page selections or "top of" charts in the App Store. What have you guys found?
I have an android at the moment, but the only mobile game I've played in a while is also on iPhone: Star Traders 4X.
Chess. Still can't consistently beat the computer on its hardest setting. Embarrassing, really.
This is really all that I play on my phone these days. But I'm being beaten by the computer most of the time on setting 4/10 so I guess I need a bit more practice. My biggest issue is opening. I know that there are whole books about how to open a match, but for some reason, I prefer not to use them. It's not paying off, so maybe I should go back for a look.
Hmm, you shouldn't be embarrassed. The world's best chess player at the time lost to a computer in 1997. Unless you're a chess grandmaster, computers have been handily beating humans for awhile. I recommend The Most Human Human by Brian Christian for further reading in the area of machine intelligence.Still can't consistently beat the computer on its hardest setting.
Sure, but I guarantee you that the AI governing my little iPhone app isn't up to that level. Maybe it's still somewhat formidable, but the main issue is that I'm no grandmaster. :)The world's best chess player at the time lost to a computer in 1997.
I use Android, but these are also on iPhone, I believe - Monument Valley was a beautiful game, although a little too short. The same maker also has a simple but very addictive game called BlipBlup. The Room and The Room 2 were both enjoyable; somewhat MYST-like, for the old-timers who might remember that.
Holy shit, I started downloading it absentmindedly and came back to my phone and it's a 1.1 gb application! Currently I don't have any music on my phone, but when I restore it, I won't have enough space for something like that x.x
Well, I downloaded it, gonna give it a try now ;)
