I'm not sure anyone can claim who is and isn't the greatest. I can say who my favorite athlete of all time is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRoNqiiY6Lg

Still gives me chills.

scrimetime, get in on this. What's your all time all-star line?

You can't watch that without getting a chill. That video is so awesome. Gretzky with the giveaway, Yzerman scoring, then flash to MacTavish on the bench, no helmet, looking like someone just raped his grandma. That was one of the best moments in Wings history, followed by the worst a week or two later.

Still, my favorite athlete award goes to #5.

God.. don't make me choose. Nicks great. Such a class act and perhaps one of the most underrated players ever. If you were to put together your all star line, I don't care who you are or where you are from you'd have to admit that Lindstrom would likely be one of the two in the back. Who else? Bobby Orr was before my time. Maybe Bourque, Coffey or Chelios?

Orr, beyond a shadow. He won the Art Ross trophy twice. Coffey never played a lick of defense. Bourque and Chelios were both awesome, but to me, Orr and Lidstrom are hands down the two greatest hockey has ever seen.

I would only consider Coffey because Lindstrom is good enough to have his back while he basically acts like a forward.

Alright, while we are at it name your centers and wingers on your dream line.

My dream line (not necessarily who I think is the best of all time) would be Datsyuk in the middle with Bossy on the right and Hull (Bobby, that is) on the left.

My dream line based purely on wanting to watch them all play together: Yzerman, Datsyuk and Federov up front-Mix them up as you see fit. Lindstrom and Konstantinov on "D". Those 3 up front are some of the best 2 way players that have ever worn red for Detroit.

Love this Konstantinov quote: "For my game," he explained, "I don’t need to score the goal. I need someone to start thinking about me and forgetting about scoring goals." -Awesome.

Actually, I agree with you basically 100%. For argument's sake, I didn't want to use all Wings.
