IMO the font is too big. I am not a fan of this trend. I switched the body font to 14px, and the result was something I would probably prefer to the current design.
It's definitely cleaner looking, much more "magazine" like. I'm not sure that I favor it over the current design. What is it you like about it? I'm shocked that you would prefer this. It seems less encyclopedic to me. I agree about the font, that is WAY too large.
I'm not sure why, but all the space on the sides makes me feel uncomfortable. Even a simple grey border (and a 14pt font) makes it feel better. Why is this?

For some reason, the font makes it feel like a Medium.com article to me. I also agree, 14px is way better.
