So males have X and Y chromosomes and females have two different X chromosomes in their bodies. What would happen if I harvested two cells in a person (probably easier on a male, since it would be easy to tell which chromosome was Y and which was X), and combined it in such a way that you put on X chromosome in an egg and an identical X chromosome in a sperm and artificially inseminated (or used in vitro fertilization, either way)?
Would a child survive such an experiment? If so, what would that child be like? Obviously she would be a female, but would there be any birth defects? Physical or mental deficiencies? Would she be healthy?
