These stories of bringing back these old satellites and rebooting them from a remote station communicating commands was the stuff of science fiction only a few years ago. Now there are scientists hoping to revive old technology for research. We are living in a time where where science fiction isn't just real, but where people have a sort of nostalgia for old or antique technology. I'm not trying to wax poetic or anything, I just wonder what our future selves will look to us for.
