- Poor eBay – they're having a pretty bad day. Thanks to Google’s roll-out of Panda 4.0 and the Payday Loan 2.0 update, eBay is suffering a massive loss in organic traffic and rankings. Adding insult to injury, they had to ask all users to change their passwords after a database hack.
One thing I'm thankful for with hubski is that we don't rely on Google (neither adwords or SERP ranking). I would hate to be at their mercy for the future well-being of our community.
Me too. We aren't going to use Ad Words, and I would rather just not enter into the SEO game. We can do our job, and they can do theirs. As this and metafilter's plight demonstrates, this is Google traffic. I've switched over to DDG since their redesign 3 days ago, and it's been largely positive. However, it has made me realize that I often use the address bar search not to search, but to bring up specific search results. I suspect that the DDG results are often not worse, but just different. Chrome and Android are funnels to Google's revenue meachanism.
