Some reddit comment, very bottom of a comments thread about something unrelated -- just said "hubski.com" -- the commenter had evidently gotten completely pissed off by the level of intelligence displayed in the thread... if I hadn't happened to have 15 free minutes I wouldn't have bothered.

(HINT HINT in my inbox I expect: "oh gosh we're glad you had 15 minutes flagamuffin" "oh flagamuffin what would we do without out you" "it was destiny flagamuffin")

EDIT: forgot to say I mention hubski to people all the time and they never join, which is weird because the conversation always begins, "Hey, how do you find and read so many cool articles" and always ends in confusion when I suggest they join a new website. ("Nah, I have CNN." Okay man.)

I'm very glad you found us and count you as a friend. I can recall the first time I thought to myself, "this guys really cool," it was when you told the story of your uncle preferring silence to noise. That's still one of my favorite parts of any podcast we've done. -Thanks.

-I have a good friend that is an audio engineer, well read, loves great music, film, games etc. -He'd be a good fit. When I told him about the concept he said, "I use Facebook for that."

You really have to test drive Hubski (or any other worthwhile site) for a good while to find the differences because the largest difference imo is the community itself.

No; thank you.

It's not clear to me exactly how he could use facebook to do any of the things for which I use hubski -- maybe some really specialized groups or something.
