Kaspar! It's a rare day when I meet another soul who has even heard of that movie, let alone makes references to it in everyday life. I'm kind of a Herzog Fanboy, so my thinking is always colored about his movies. The scene in The Enigma when the Professor asks Kaspar about how he could tell whether a man came from the town of liar or truth-tellers is among my favorite Herzog has ever filmed. But as to the other Enigma, I've downloaded it (thanks for the link), and I shall read it in time (or get through what I can in the time I have).
I might not go that far, but it's a classic, for sure. "Ich würde den Mann fragen, ob er ein Baumfrosch waren", or something much like that. Love you, Raymond Smullyan, but Kaspar pwnd you on that one.when the Professor asks Kaspar about how he could tell whether a man came from the town of liar or truth-tellers is among my favorite Herzog has ever filmed.
