- The researchers tested the effect of marinating meat with Pilsner, nonalcohol Pilsner, and Black beer, against a control sampling of raw meat. Black beer show the strongest "inhibitory effect," reducing the formation of carcinogenic PAHs by 53 percent.

As a lover of beer and someone that just got a new (to me anyways) grill, this is fantastic news! I've also been marinating my beef/pork in beer and wine for years. This is fantastic. Next thing you know it will be announced that listening to loud music while eating charred meat further reduces the carcinogenic qualities.
