I tend to follow people due more to the comments they make than the content they post. I also use "chatter" a ton, to find where people are having conversations. I also, will go to global and peruse posts with comments already and then join in a conversation if I feel I have something to add. Then, after having a good conversation with someone I will normally follow them. I'm pretty liberal with the amount of people I follow but it doesn't make for a bad feed. I follow a ton of people. When I think there are too many, I clean house.
