That's pretty awesome. I've always been a fan of old-time tech, but because of my age (and that my parents aren't really into tech) I hardly ever get my hands on some. My mom was into computers a bit after they started, so we have a bunch of old ones, but other than that no old tech :(.

Jukeboxes in particular are pretty interesting. Though, I'm wondering if anyone's made one that works off CDs. That'd be cool.

Edit: A quick visit to amazon tells me they do have CD Jukeboxes, that also work with your ipod/iphone/ipad. Unfortunately it's just a regular stereo themed like a jukebox, rather than having the cool cd flipping jukebox awesomeness. I wonder how hard it'd be to rig one up?

Yes, CD-based jukeboxes were a thing from the early 90s (is) until really recently. If you hung out in bars (you're a bit young, if I remember correctly, no?) during that time, they were unavoidable.

I'm sure you could buy one pretty cheap now a days. They are wretched machines that break several time a month if used much. The repairs are expensive if you can't do it yourself.

I worked at a bar that had one in 2008 or so. On a busy night we got to hear M.I.A. Paper Planes and Fuck the Police 10-12 times a night. I wanted to roll that damn thing out in the street to get run over by a truck.
