    Fucking hell, Rolling Stone

You should've said 'WTF RS', or else you're not hip enough. Obviously.

It's not the weirdest thing about the article though:

Nguyen, who has agreed to share with Rolling Stone his whole story for the first time. With the international press and local paparazzi searching for him, Nguyen has been in hiding – fleeing his parents' house to stay at a friend's apartment, where he now remains.

You'd think he committed a murder or a scandal or something. No, he declined lots of money because it ruined his life and he just wanted to make some games. I can not imagine the shit he must have gotten for the game. Death by a thousand paper cuts. Yet most media can not comprehend that he would throw away money just to be happier. I'm not sure if that can say something about our money-obsessed society.

It's interesting that you got that vibe from the article. I didn't realize the internet acronym in the article until it was pointed out here. This either has me in contempt that I can still read a piece and not be turned off by the author's conjecture or it has me troubled. Either way I haven't played Flappy Bird.

I have!

But, to be honest, I think an article about Flappy Bird is kind of dumb. Tantamount to an article about the success of Furbies or Tamagochi when they were big.
