More than price stability, the transaction rate seems most important to me. At this point, I don't think anything matters if adoption isn't increasing.

Totally agree. The most obvious exploits of Bitcoin's encryption and logistical systems are currently being exposed, and will be patched accordingly. I don't know if Bitcoin will be THE global standard of digital currency, but the fact is that there will eventually be one. Hopefully, there won't always exist some unthought of, clever way of stealing it. Part of me thinks gov't regulation could help, but how will that work for a "global" currency?
