The gist I'm getting is that when Detroit defaulted on its munis, the insurance companies were faced with prohibitive costs to compensate the bondholders. So now they're suing ... for what? Saying Detroit should funnel tax revenue into a repayment plan? Is that even possible given the magnitude of the default?
Is a state or federal bailout at all a possibility?
