I was attempting to grab a nice sour beer last night and my local shop just expanded their selection. As it was pretty busy in there, we decided to quickly google the new ones to see what people said about them. We ended up laughing our way though BeerAdvocate reviews for the next half hour. Eventually we told the shopkeeper, "Hey - we loved this one and wasn't a fan of this one, would recommend any of these for us to try?" He hooked us up with the Grand Cru and it was pretty good - not super sour and had the good fruity/cherry taste that we like. The bottle disappeared way too fast. There is something oddly sexual about the hardcore wine and beer reviews. Especially when you combine "pucker" and "mouthfeel" with a bunch of crazy descriptors.
