I was just in another post and making a joke about tattling to "the admins".
I didn't really want to get mk or anyone else's attention, or I would have used a callout, but under a different circumstance, maybe I would - is there a need for such a thing?
For example - if I was going to be in Detroit on business and had noticed that b_b, mk, and ecib all have some kind of Detroit or at least Michigan connection, should there be some kind of group callout feature where I would say "Hey you @Michiganders@ I'll be in the D next week! Let's Meet Up!" and somewhere the markup would allow me to hide several callouts under one non-related word?
I guess that theoretically people who follow the "Michigan" tag would see my post if I tagged it as such… but that would assume that I knew the tags they follow (which I don't think I can see) and it would also include EVERY person who follows that tag - but what if I didn't want to include thenewgreen in the callout.
This is probably not even on anyone else's radar. That kind of thing - a spamming callout or ad hoc groups - might generate too much spam in people's notification. And yes - I can accomplish the same thing just listing people - It may simply be fun to lump them together. I'm probably not realizing some way in which this screws up the already working network of connections.
Thoughts?
