Two immediate thoughts: a) I wonder if there's another side to this like there was with the nerve gas debacle; b) it's worth the reminder that the current powers that be in Syria were themselves killed on an 'industrial-scale' for many years. Taking sides in middle eastern conflicts is something never to be done lightly.
