Ooh, MDF. I've made MDF mistakes before. I predict a swollen hubwheel in your future. If you have any primer around, it might be worth coating it.
No primer (I should get some). I talked to some other people about maybe using clear lacquer, which might help keep moisture out but the lacquer will probably crack eventually. As long as it doesn't "rot" and fall apart I don't care too much if it swells a bit edit: It seems MDF might be slightly carcinogenic so I should definitely paint it to keep the formaldehyde in
