Well that's why I said "since the last government". 'New Labour' has effectively been the British Democratic Party (with a few policy exceptions) for the last decade... The decision in 1997 to shift the party to the right won them a landslide election and they have been almost silent in voicing their opposition to the Conservative party's policies. If it can happen in the USA it can happen here.
