Romney wins.

2-3 countries leave the Euro.

The world doesn't end in 2012.

Romney winning - possibly

2-3 countries leave the Euro - likely

The world doesn't end in 2012 - Assuredly

What do you think will come of the wave of protests throughout the world and here in the US? Anything, nothing?

My reasoning for Romney is that I think the Americans Elect candidate will primarily split the Dem ticket, because I am guessing that he/she will be a social liberal. In my dream, AE gets a great candidate, and they win.

If there was ever an environment that AE could actually win, this is it. It's all about the candidate now. I've heard some people mention Elizabeth Warren in some forums.

There's no reason right now why I wouldn't vote for Warren. But, she would totally split the Dem ticket and help Romney.

More than split the ticket, she would motivate all GOP supporters to come out to vote. They HATE her. They have done everything in their power to make sure that her consumer protection plans will fail miserably. She is the worst nightmare for greedy pigs.

Or perhaps she would win?
mk  ·  4717 days ago  ·  link  ·
I don't think she has a chance. Repubs think she is a socialist.
thenewgreen  ·  4716 days ago  ·  link  ·
Why, because she believes in an equitable tax code?
mk  ·  4716 days ago  ·  link  ·
That sounds like commie talk.

Seriously though, I think that's it. I believe FoxNews hates on her pretty hard, but I don't watch any of that cable 'news' stuff.

I think the best AE candidate would be hard to pin down politically. Although that will be the game to play by the 'news'.

thenewgreen  ·  4716 days ago  ·  link  ·
That's the problem, right? The kind of person that would run for office would have to be the kind of person that wouldn't mind getting the crap kicked out of them via the cable news jack-offs. Most sensible non-egocentric people don't what that. Congress is an example of the type of people that don't mind that. -Makes me shudder-

Nothing in the US. I bet Europe will have some serious and effective protests.

Agreed. For completely baseless and ignorant reasons I'll say this:

Europeans are just more passionate that the US...I mean have you seen soccer over there???

I'd agree. As individuals, we can rock out. As a group, well, I've seen better.
